Patriotic Personalized Performance

The designers at TaylorMade took the proven M1 driver and wrapped it in patriotic red, white, and blue to celebrate the return of golf to the Olympics, as well as the U.S. Open win by Dustin Johnson, and a nod to this summer’s PGA Championship. The TaylorMade M1 Special Edition driver is similar to the original M1 driver, with its three-step head adjustment system and seven-layer carbon composite crown for weight savings. This decreased weight allowed for a lower center of gravity and an added T-Track system that houses 25g of adjustable weight.  The system’s low-sole placement means the club maintains a low center of gravity for the best trajectory.

What makes the M1 Special Edition so patriotic? Well, it sports a dark blue composite crown, a red T-bug logo alignment aid, red and blue T-Track weights, white PVD face and sole, a custom red aluminum sleeve, and an American flag on the toe. The loft sleeve offers up to four degrees of loft adjustment, thanks to its 12 positions. The T-Track can adjust for more or less draw or fade and higher or lower trajectory.

Shaft maker Fujikura Composites created a custom Speeder 661 Tour Spec Special Edition shaft just for the M1 Special Edition. This limited-production shaft includes the Golf Pride Z Grip Patriot Grip. The TaylorMade M1 Special Edition driver comes in a full leather headcover.

Available August 26 in 9.5 and 10.5 lofts in regular and stiff flexes.
