King of the Kayaks

The Kayak 1, from New Zealand designers Jamie McLellan and Andy Jacobs, is a one-person beauty made from carbon fiber, teak, and ash. It’s 12 feet 10 inches long and 31 inches wide, and it weighs only 36 to 40 pounds, making it easy to move across the water and to transport across land. Each Kayak 1 is built to order in New Zealand and requires 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Optional accessories include a matching paddle, seat pads, a protective cover, and storage cradles.

Built by America’s Cup boat builders in New Zealand
