Helle Mândra Neck Knife
A neck knife for backcountry adventures
Small knives make big cuts
Tiny Yet Mighty
The Mândra is the latest offering from Helle knives, handcrafted in its Norway facilities. Field-tested in the Carpathian Mountains, a mountain range that spans from Central to Eastern Europe, the Mândra is a small, but mighty tool, with a blade and handle length of just less than six inches. In fact, it is the smallest full-tang knife ever produced by Helle. Resting in a tanned leather sheath with straps, the compact and lightweight (weighing only 2.46 ounces) knife can be comfortably worn around your neck, offering a hands-free tool in a handsome casing. The handle of the Mândra is made with a curly grained birch that is ground, oiled, and polished to bring out the natural beauty and color of the material. The handle houses a Swedish triple-laminated stainless-steel blade, engineered by hand for strength and flexibility.
Helle has been making knives since 1932 in the village of Holmedal, Norway. The Mândra was designed and tested by Les Stroud, who is known for his Survivorman television series.
