Kanz Field Kitchen
Fully equipped kitchen elevates camp grub to gourmet
Stylish, functional, impermeable to bears
Smoky, Party of Six
Industrial designer Harald Kanz (who has won myriad design awards for his speaker designs and other creations) is also an avid outdoorsman and amateur chef, which led him to combine his passions in this beautifully functional, thought-of-everything camp kitchen, designed over 12 years of thought and experimentation (including bear testing) to arrive at a refined model that does it all. The kitchen was designed for adventurers who share Kanz’s yen for overland travel, slumbering in the great outdoors and still enjoying a great meal prepared and served in style. Everything a chef needs is provided: from a can opener and cooking pots to dishware. There’s a place for everything and everything neatly fits in its place in the nearly indestructible container.
Made in the USA
The quality of the component contents filling the fully outfitted Field Kitchen (also available empty) match the quality of the marine-grade-aluminum and wood container: propane stove by Partner Steel, used by adventure travelers in the know; Snow Peak stainless-steel pots and pans and cast-iron frypan; GSI percolator for that morning coffee; enameled-steel dishes and bowls; stainless-steel mugs of Kanz’s own design, as well as a complement of restaurant-quality utensils. It all nests well and fits perfectly in the compact and elegant Field Kitchen.
